Packing My Bags
Getting Ready To Leave Gozo
Although it didn't start so well we've had a wonderfuf 10 days in Gozo and now we are packing our bags ready to leave tomorrow.
We will catch the 9 a.m. ferry across to Malta and then drive across the island to the airport.
Today was a lovely day to finish on as it is my mum's birthday and we went out for a nice meal at lunch time and then came back here for coffee and cake and so she could open her cards and presents.
She thoroughly enjoyed it, as did we, although I feel a little sad now we've taken her home.
She was 88 today and has been in hospital a couple of times at the end of last year so it's hard saying "goodbye".
We were so engrossed in what we were doing today we forgot to take any photographs.
This is one I took earlier in the week of a typical Maltese crib outside someone's house.
You see this type of thing all over the islands at this time of year along with Christmas lights in many of the streets.
It's nice to be leaving before they are all taken down so we were able to have a very cheery ride back to our apartment.

I've been thinking I'd like to do more trips in 2019. I just wished I enjoyed posting more. I take loads of photos but end up posting very few of them. I've spent so much of my life writing I think I'm burned out on it now. 😁
