How to make dishwasher tablets: DIY instructions

In our homes we have at our disposal many natural ingredients to produce the most common detergents. We will have clear cost savings, but above all, we will protect the environment by avoiding the use of toxic products and limiting packaging. In addition to washing machine detergent, we can also produce tablets for the dishwasher.

What is needed?

Ice molds (preferably in silicone)
250 grams of sodium bicarbonate
2 tablespoons of Marseille or Aleppo soap
1/2 liter of demineralised water
12 drops of lemon essential oil
25 ml of white wine vinegar

The process is really simple and the ingredients are all easily available.

How do we proceed?

Step 1
Pour the sodium bicarbonate into a clean bowl.
Then add the Marseille soap and the essential oil.
Last but not least, vinegar and demineralised water
Mix and amalgamate well all the ingredients until the mixture is dense and homogeneous.

Step 2
Pour the mixture into the ice moulds and allow to dry until the pads harden.

Step 3

Once hardened, turn the mold and remove the pads. Proceed slowly. Place them in a plastic or glass container and store them in a dry place away from moisture and sun.
Add 1 dishwasher tablet to each wash.
