How To Actually Make Money Online Along With a Few Other Ways
No, I am not a guru, not even close.
No, I am not here to sell you anything.
I'm just trying to improve your situation if possible because it's the right thing to do.
I don't have millions of dollars or anything like that but I do know how to make some extra money online if I need it.
Let's say you get fired from your job and you need $1,000 to pay your bills.
This list will get you that $1,000 as long as you're willing to do minimal amounts of work.
This list is for people who would rather work online or by themselves than work in retail, fast food, or customer service...which are all easy jobs to get unless you have a felony.
It's just that most people who get fired or laid of from their 50K-150k a year paying job would rather have no money for a few months than get have to suck up their pride and flip burgers for a few months.
SO HERE ARE YOUR OTHER OPTIONS!
For people who love to make videos and talk to people:
- Twitch
On twitch you grow a following just like YouTube but instead of earning money through ads, you can earn money from your fans donating to you.
My little sister has a twitch account with only 20k followers and she makes over 5k a month.
She sings for them and entertains them.
It took her about 6 months before she was making any decent money though. So this is a long term strategy.
But I've seen users on this platform that have no talent at all, they just sit there chatting with people all day and they get paid too.
Your Twitch account could literally help you pay for a new car or even a house with barely any effort on your part.
If that doesn't sound amazing to you I'm not sure what does.
- YouTube
Everyone knows you can make money on YouTube. Even if you don't think you're interesting or you're shy on camera you can still be successful.
I know a girl who was obsessed with YouTube in highschool and people made fun of her. She has a makeup channel and makes over 300k a month now.
For people who love to write:
- textbroker.com.
It's very beginner friendly and easy to make money starting out as a writer.
You can make an easy 25k a year using it. If you're a college kid and you absolutely hate going outside and working part time jobs, then this might be the job for you.
Write a few articles, submit them, get paid via Paypal within a week. Very newbie friendly.
Honestly, this is probably the easiest one on the list if you're a new to making money online.
- Steemit
It's possible to make a lot of money on Steemit but you have to be dedicated to your audience and be very consistent.
Most Steemit users making decent money have been on Steemit for a few years and they post almost every day with a lot of effort.
- Fiverr
You can do any type of technical work on here. Great for new writers but also good for voice actors, graphic design, easy money for newbies.
- Amazon Kindle self publishing
I wrote a small e-book and published it to Amazon just to see if this works.
It makes me about $2.00 a month every other month which is nothing.
If you had enough motivation or you hired writers, you could scale this into a decently large business.
Many people have done this and succeeded. But to make any real money from this you need good marketing skills and social media skills.
If you have a car:
- Uber
Drive strangers from A to B. Get paid $17 an hour plus tips. Don't drive around too late at night because many drivers have been mugged. Considered one of the most dangerous jobs in the country.
- Lyft
Pretty much the same thing as Uber but with a slightly better reputation.
If you like to sell things:
- Amazon FBA
You order items in bulk for cheap prices, ship them to Amazon's warehouse, have them listed on Amazon, and you're in business.
- eBay
I used to sell iphones on Ebay because iPhones are in such high demand in every country. I would find an iPhone on Amazon and list it on eBay using the same pictures but list it at a higher price like $100 more. I've made 4k in a single day doing this. To make a lot of money focus on increasing your reputation first.
- Shopify
This website allows you to make an online store without any code and you can choose your own manufacturer.
If you're very savvy when it comes to social media you have a shot at making a lot of money with this.
If you have no skills at all and you don't want to do Uber or Lyft, this section is for you:
- Make a twitch account, put some cool stuff behind you in the background, play some cool music, start streaming and talking to people. Be nice. Get to know your audience.
Ask for their support. Once you get to know some people, tell them you need money and can't afford to pay some bills. People on here are very generous. Receive donations.
Make sure you stream at the same time every day so 9pm every night so you're consistent and your audience knows when you'll be back on. Unfortunately, this will take 6 months of doing this before you have a big enough following to pay any bills so if you need the money right now, onto the next one.
- Swagbucks
One of my friends in the Army got in trouble and was forced to work without pay for 45 days and mop floors.
It didn't take him long to figure out that he could make money with Swagbucks. After about 12 hours of working on surveys, he made $75.
It's not much at all for 12 hours of work but he was able to pay his phone bill and car payment after a week of filling out surveys.
- The arbitrage hustle method
Make an account on Upwork, Udesk, and Fiverr.
List your profession as a writer.
Now find 3 accounts of writers that are doing well.
Let's say these 3 writers charge their customers $10 for an article or blog post.
Go to your account and charge $5 higher for your services.
Every time a customer asks you to write an article, e-book, or blog post, quickly message one of the 3 writers you found, have them write it, then give it away for $5 higher.
So all you're doing here is flipping services and jobs for slightly more money.
If you get really good at flipping services, you can make over 100k a year.
Arbitrage is not illegal by any means. Obviously if you're interested in this then Google it. Don't just take my word for it.
You can find someone who designs professional websites for 10k a month, and offer the same service to people for 15k. Then when you get paid the 15k, you give him 10k for doing it and pocket the 5k.
You just made 5k without any effort!
There are people who make millions doing this and they have no skills.
People flip houses, businesses, websites, apps, so many things.
- Empireflippers.com
This is a last resort and mainly available to people who have more money available to them.
If you have 50k to 100k in savings that you are comfortable spending, you can buy an online business from them that makes 1k-5k a month.
A business that makes 1k a month generally costs about 20k.
Some people will buy 10 of these businesses and they stay self-employed forever.
A lot of billionaires own over 100 different companies. Then they just hire people to run those companies for them and watch from the sidelines.
This is a little risky though so you really have to know what you're doing.
You wouldn't try to flip houses with no experience in real estate would you?
But anyways, some of this material could be life-changing for you.
If you owned 10 websites that made you 2k a month each, that's 40k a month.
Think about how that would change your life. Yeah each week you'd have to make sure they're all up and running and that everything is working well.
But that is all you'd have to do for that 40k. Many people want that luxury. That's a good problem to have.
If you really need the money, you'll figure out how to get it. And at least these methods are all legal. I'm not telling you to sell drugs or anything.
At least one of these methods will fix your situation. I guarantee it.
Fact: 34% of the total American workforce are freelancers. This number is expected to balloon by 50 percent by 2020.
The times are a changin'.
The trick is to already have a side hustle that makes you $500-$1,000 a month so that when something happens the money is already there for you.
The idea of flipping jobs is quite interesting.
This is a good post, I'd like to have several of these income streams working at the same time. I've been looking into several of these ideas they just aren't completely passive income, but they're close.
thanks for the post, it's great
