Security and Freedom, @Mainframe its paramount! It’s better to prepare than repair

Regardless of the technological milestones we’ve seen, we still live within the threat landscape. It is essential to be concerned and stay speculative about your online security, stay on top of things and protect your digital space and assets. Data breech is still not a thing in the past. It is often prevalent and quite destructive.

Crisis are escalating when it comes to cyber-attacks, data breeches, hacking incidents, scammers, etc. To offer a strong network security, it seems unattainable.

Why do companies wait for a security mishap? Why isn’t data security prioritized?

Security and Integrity pose as essential aspects within any organization, they hold as a backbone. Everything from client information, transactions, employee info, financial data, personal files, payment information, all these pose a huge disaster if not securely protected. Any mishap could result in greater consequences.

Let’s do baby steps

If you, who’s reading the blog is anything like me. You’re an employee within a medium sized company- who’s working as a full-time employee. You’ll have processes and systems to follow and monitor, hierarchy to oblige to and work 40 hours a week and do an incredible job to get noticed or grow within the organization. Well, all that is good and fine.

Can you imagine yourself working within a small team of 5 to 7? Here, you’ve got to collaborate, delegate, use words like teamwork, sharing, building, innovation, ideas, etc. I usually work on resources for the sales and marketing purpose. Building content, writing proposals, RFPs, web content, social media, blogs, writing emails to the customer, negotiations, calls, newsletters, e-mail campaigns, I hope you know the drill.

Here’s the problem area

Scenario 1

Unlike the others in the organization, my work revolves around my team. I’ve to collaborate. I write my content or emails, or make changes in the proposals with the instant suggestions and notifications I keep getting from my teammates.

That’s right.  It is hectic to keep a track of all that information and stay updated all the time.  For instance, it serves as a disaster for me to miss out on the updated price card, while sending the proposal drafts to the customers. It will be correct in a perfect world, if my colleague sends me an email about it, we usually ping each other and get the information.

Also, why to wait for an email of the update after the email is sent, when you can get notified instantly and stay above things, right?

In this case, where should I save this information. How should I not miss out on adding it in my content?

Scenario 2

There are other instances, which are quite frustrating for me. We’ve team huddles every day, every week, every month, every quarter.  Ideas and topics are discussed along with the reports and work we do. Hey, I’m not the boss of me or, the others. I can’t be reluctant.

Like anybody else within the corporate world, I’ve to suck it up.  I often chat with my colleagues and team mates and discuss stuff, which is very good for my work and that talking often leads to good ideas.  These ideas float around during team calls or meetings from someone else, I can’t be the whiner in the meeting claiming the ideas are mine, or the thought was initiated by me.

It passes on and the other person who is the big stealer, gets to even steal the show. That’s unfair. Again, very prevalent in every organization. Don’t you think so?

Troubleshoot with Mainframe

If you haven’t already read this, Mainframe is an unstoppable communications platform providing unparalleled security, including:

  • Data privacy: Full end-to-end and group encryption
  • Surveillance resistance: Node relationships can be hidden
  • Censorship resistance: Hidden node relationships prevent communications jamming
Mainframe's communications infrastructure is entirely decentralized and unhosted.

A token economy incentives network performance, including:

  • Incentivized packet routing
  • Incentivized packet storage for later retrieval
  • Incentivized file storage
  • Incentivized data services

Today’s best networking protocols and applications are all combined within the communication platform provided by Mainframe. It offers great security and user sovereignty.

The platform consists of various protocol and transport layers incentivized by token economies, along with software development kits (SDKs) enabling easy integration with a variety of popular languages, operating systems, and devices, as well as smart contracts and oracles for token exchange and ease of interoperability with various popular blockchains. Mainframe provides additional protocols above this transport layer for secure communications One of Mainframe’s alpha version is Onyx

It is the first application built on the platform, as a messaging application that takes full advantage of the provided decentralized protocols. It was released on December 19, 2017. It has an excellent user experience, it was built with an objective to provide real-time corporate messaging, with minimal use of system resources.

  • Onyx is the first application that allows the user to take advantage of dark routing. Users can configure the luminosity settings for all messages sent in group and private channels.
  • Onyx allows typical rich formatting features, as well as file attachments and inline viewer widgets for images and videos. In addition to these typical features, Onyx has numerous microformats for displaying rich interactivity beyond simple messaging apps, including polls, task assignments, group checklists, and others.
  • Onyx caches contact lists and message content locally for fast retrieval of archived messages and full-text search through message content and contact directories.
  • Onyx provides decentralized contact storage, editing, and sharing. Contact information that a user wishes to make public is addressed using a decentralized name service. Contact information that individuals and organizations wish to share privately is shared using identity claims over networks like uPort40 or the Sovrin ledger41.
  • Onyx makes it easy for users to alert others of their status both in their profile and during conversations by indicating whether another user was last seen active by their client and whether they are currently typing a message. These notifications can be disabled.
  • Onyx is highly extensible, allowing users to create apps that are custom-tailored for specific industry and individual needs and buy and sell them using Mainframe tokens.
