"Mahabharata epic set to become India's most expensive movie ever"
India is set to make its most expensive film ever with an 1000crore Indian rupees, adaptation of Sanskrit epic the Mahabharata.
With a $150-million (₹1,000 crore) budget, the India's costliest movie Mahabharata will hit the screen in early 2020.
Entitled Randamoozham, the two-part film will be financed by United Arab Emirates-based billionaire BR Shetty.
The cast is said to include the best of talents from Indian cinema, as well as some reputed Hollywood names.
The technical crew will reportedly include big names, including Academy Award winners.
The film will be shot primarily in English, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu.
It will be dubbed into major Indian and leading foreign languages.
The film will be directed by S S Rajamouli of Baahubali fame.
