TV actress Drashti Dhami files complaint against producer of her 2012 show Madhubala over unsettled dues
Actress Drashti Dhami has been quite popular on television with shows like Geet, Dill Mill Gaye; but her she became a household name with Colors' show Madhubala: Ek Ishq Ek Junoon opposite Vivian Dsena.
Dhami now claims that the producer of the show owes her payment that reportedly amounts to Rs 36 lakh. She says she is yet to receive that money from producer Abhinav Shukla. She has even raised the matter to the Cine And TV Artists' Association (CINTAA), reports SpotboyE.
When Shukla was questioned about the same, the producer reportedly said, "When I do another show, I will try to compensate Drashti," adds the SpotboyE report.
India Today reports that Shukla has earned a bad name within the industry and has been reportedly banned in the TV circuit over similar complaints from other actors against him.
It is also reported that before this, Bollywood actress Amrita Rao had also raised an alarm regarding unsettled dues worth Rs 22 lakh for her participation in the TV show Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai.
While Dhami and Dsena became a popular on-screen couple of sorts, the two actors reportedly shared cold vibes off screen. Their mutual aversion towards each other went to the extent that Dhami announced on national television that she would never want to work again with Dsena.
