The world's largest and luxury passenger plane is on the verge of closure, know-what is the reason
The world's largest passenger plane is on the verge of closure for its vast size and amenities. At the time of launch, this aircraft was called the Flying Palace. The aircraft has just been launched just 11 years ago and now the buyers are not getting this huge aircraft. The reason is very surprising.
Here we are talking about Airbus A380 aircraft. When Airbus lowered this aircraft for the first time on October 15, 2007, it was considered a revolutionary startup in the aviation industry. As expected, this aircraft attracted a lot of passengers and aviation companies. With the launch of the popularity of this aircraft, it had increased so much that wherever the plane reaches, there is a crowd of people taking selfie with it. The amenities of this plane are such that no other passenger is in the plane.
Despite huge size and large engines, fuel costs in this plane are low. When this plane was fired, it had defeated all the rivals. The length of this aircraft is 72.7 meters and the height is 24 meters, while its wings extend to 79.8 meters. Because of this, there is more than any castle inside this aircraft. Regardless, aviation companies are getting disillusioned with this aircraft. Due to not getting the buyer, Airbus has announced the closure of the aircraft.
850 passengers capacity
This aircraft is also called superjumbo due to its large size. These aircraft can carry 500 passengers in luxury and comfortable air travel in three different categories. Its passenger capacity is more than 100, compared to other major luxury aircraft. If this aircraft is made only economy class, then it can travel up to 850 passengers. However, these aircraft are for luxury and comfortable travel, so there are beds in its deck and first class suite.
This aircraft also has private suites
Because of the large size of the A380 plane it has large windows, a high ceiling and an engine that does not sound at all. There is so much space inside that some airline companies have made it in the shower, lounge, duty free shop and bar on both decks. Apart from this, travelers were given the option of traveling in beautiful private suites with big windows like any luxury hotel. The effect of this aircraft's popularity is that, despite being extremely precious, there are 160 aircraft all around the world, the A380 aircraft.
Two-storey plane
These aircraft belong to two floors. At the bottom floor, 12 bunk beds are made, in which the staff of the aircraft can relax during a long flight. There are also beds for pilots in this aircraft.
Singapore Airlines was the first buyer
The first buyer of the largest passenger airliner A380 was Singapore Airlines. At that time it was a matter of pride for the airlines to add this huge aircraft to their fleet. It was believed that carrying more and more passengers at one go would be a profitable deal. So, in the initial few years, airlines have been very excited about this huge passenger plane. However, soon the plane became the problem for this aircraft. The plane was so big that its seats started to empty. In such a way the airlines companies suffered losses in blowing up the aircraft and the companies started limiting its operation.
Technical flaws coming in four years
Only four years after the delivery of the first aircraft in 2007, technical flaws were seen in this huge aircraft. In 2011-2012 due to the technical shortcomings of the A380 aircraft, there was also an emergency landing at many places. Quantus, Emirates, and Singapore Airlines also suffered significant loss due to emergency landing. In January 2012, Quantus and Singapore Airlines complained of aircraft debris. The investigation revealed that the reason for the crack in the wings is technical flaws. The material used in the manufacture and quality was not very good. In such a situation, the company had to spend 263 million euros (about Rs 2054 crore) in correcting the cracks which were very high.
Deals After Defective Deals
After the flaws were exposed in this huge passenger plane, its deals were canceled. In January-February 2019, Emirates's two largest buyers, Emirates and Australian Airline Quantus, canceled the order of the A380 aircraft. Emirates canceled the deal and took the deal to buy smaller aircraft instead, while Quantus canceled the deal of the A380 only. Similarly, other companies also felt disillusioned with the A380. After this, Airbus has announced that it will stop production in 2021.
Land can not be everywhere
These aircraft are so vast that it can not be operated from every airport. These aircraft are so large that for this, hangers made at London's Heathrow Airport have to be renewed. Hangers of Heathrow Airport were built in 1950 and had a height of 76 feet, which had to be increased by 11.5 feet to make Superjambo worth. It took 18 months to increase the height of hangars. Not only this, for the takeoff and landing of this huge aircraft, highly trained and skilled pilots are needed.
There is a lot of employees needed
There is a large team of specialized training for checking and maintenance of this huge plane. Actually, a lot of electronics and computer systems have been used in A380 aircraft. Computer engineers are required instead of a technician to supervise the network of all its systems, cables and devices. Computer engineers keep an eye on the aircraft's radar to air conditioning and flight controls. These are the major reasons for the disintegration of companies with this huge aircraft.
Similarly, the supersonic passenger plane Concorde was closed
Airbus' A380 is the world's largest passenger plane, then Supersonic Plane Concorde was the fastest aircraft in the world. It is said that the speed of this supersonic aircraft was faster than the bullet. Its aerodynamic design gave it a different look. Compared to the common plane, supersonic aircraft used to travel long distances in less than half the time. This aircraft flew last November on England's Bristol on November 26, 2003. This aircraft flew on January 21, 1976 for the first time on London-Bahrain and Paris-Rio routes. Earlier Air France and then British Airways closed supersonic aircraft. Recession in the airline industry and the US ban are the main reasons for its closure. The United States banned the flight of these aircraft. American citizens had demonstrated to restrict it when there was noise pollution with its loud noise. During its 27 year term, the plane crashed just once in 2000 in Paris, in which more than 100 people were killed. At the moment all these aircraft are out of operation Some have been kept in the museums.
