Journey to One; On Twin Flames and Attachment

So often we seek the "one" outside of our self.
That one who will make us whole.
Our perfect complement, our twin flame

And then one day, maybe we find them!
And now that we've found them,
We never want to let them go.

Sound familiar?

However, is that attachment actually true love?
For is not true love infinite and free?

And what really is a twin flame?
Other than one appearing as two
I am you as you are me

And here lies the truest connection
That we are always "attached" to
That we could never truly lose
For it is the truth of who we are
And how could we be separate from who we are?

And so the journey shifts
No longer are we seeking the one externally
Nor are we holding on to that which is already here

Now, we journey to the depths of who we are
For it is in those depths, that the one Is
