Moments of Clarity: The Rarity

It just occurred to me today,
And I confess its clear as day,
The most scarce commodity is rarity,
Those who stand apart from the rest,
Without standing apart being their purpose,
They do not fit into larger groups,
And happily stand alone for a cause,
Though not necessarily physically alone,
They seem alien in their surroundings,
Alien to all they know,
Like hidden gems they exist,
Misunderstanding and misunderstood,
The only thing more beautiful is when two rarities find each other by chance,
And if its everlasting,
Its fair to call it true love.
