Some Sunday Fun
I went to one of my regular spots today for some different target fishing. Today I was targeting the monster carp I see cruising around. So I got my 2 light tackle spinning rods with 6lb monofilament and some octopus hooks loaded with canned corn. These fat bastards are quite finickey with the presentation you give them, if they feel any weight on the line they will spit out the bait. So I just load up my hook all the way with corn and use just that. Once I cast out, I leave a bit of slack so I can see when they bite and start to swim off, then its Game On!!! They are quite fun to catch and always a blast to see people stop and watch you fight one of these behemoths. Believe it or not some people even take them home and eat them, which in my opinion is pretty freaking gross! I'm headed to another local lake soon for a competition, I will post many pics from that endeavor, till the next episode ....

Yes sir it is. Very much a shit fish but fun to catch none the less
