What's love got to do with it? Can a White woman love a black man better than a black woman?

Seeing the title of this article you will probably wonder what race I am. A black woman or white woman? Well, let me keep you guessing. As much as it is an ongoing trend now that once a black man becomes successful or attains the much needed financial independence he needs and begins to live the life of the rich and famous; a black woman; unfortunately no longer appeals to him.

He begins to feel that in order for people and the society to know that he has reached that level of affluence he needs to have a white woman by his side as his girl.This is very sad because the black man who has forgotten his roots, no longer sees the black woman as beautiful enough or good enough for his newly attained status. Therefore according to him in his mind, the best thing is for him to go get a white woman. Thus he has forgotten what it means to feel the love of a real black woman.

Black women are resilient, beautiful and the most precious pearls you can find anywhere in the world. Also you know what they say," The blacker the better, the sweeter the juice". How true is this saying? Are black women all sweet and nice? Hell No!

Although the amount of excesses black women tolerate from their fellow black men and even other races is unimaginable,you still cannot and should not take black women for granted. She is a precious gift or treasure to you from your creator.

When a black woman believes in you and your dreams, she will stay by your side, nurture you and your dreams, see that those dreams come true and stick with you forever.Having a strong black woman by your side is a priceless gift and you never can and will appreciate what you have till you lose her.

Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t have a problem with white women. White women are also strong and they are hardworking as well. In the major corporate world you will find white women dominating the helms of affairs. This is a good thing. This maybe the reason why highly successful black men find the white woman attractive and alluring.

A white woman has good hair, pretty porcelain skin and the amount of brainwash the media all over the world that has been ingrained into people’s minds is that the definition of true beauty is to be white.Even if the likes of the great fame goddess Beyonce can sing about Jay-Z's side-chick whom she calls "Becky with the good hair (Who apparently happens to be a white woman) How safe are we mere mortals? All the clothes, shoes, products; in fact everything has been modeled to look like the white people’s ways are the only true ways to beauty.

Funny enough white women are also immensely attracted to black men (Only the successful ones if I may add!). There is this myth about a black man’s member being extraordinarily large as compared to a white man. All I can say to that belief is “Total Bull….!” There is no truth to this myth as different races and people are endowed according to genes, good nutrition etc. and not synonymous to a particular race or kind( Do believe me when I say this)!

A lot of white women are now seen to be dating black guys; well do I say this is a good thing? All I can say is that I am indifferent. I do believe everyone from different races is free to date whomever they please (As much as I find this a very painful fact to accept).

For instance my 28 year old nephew who happens to be a very successful physician feels more at “ease or comfortable” as he puts it dating a white girl or an Asian. When I asked him “why don’t you date black girls, I have never seen you with one?” He replied,” Auntie, the black girls I have met usually have a form of repressed anger. Although they are beautiful and gorgeous, they are really temperamental. It’s like walking on eggshells when I am with them. White or Asian girls on the other hand are more accommodating and friendly; in fact white girls get me! I can easily have a great and relaxed conversation with them” He said.

Now this probably can explain the reason why why I see a lot of Black men dating white women, good for them. In some ways, believe it or not I do agree with my nephew. Black women can be a bit intimidating. Blame it on years of slavery, or being labeled as a second class citizen in America; whatever reason, black women do need to lighten up, period!

It’s not always about confrontations; love your skin, in fact embrace or accept who and what you are and forge ahead and try to be calm and collected. If white women can be calm and sociably sweet; why can’t a black woman as well? Is it so impossible for black women to just be nice?

The sooner black women change to become more accommodating, the better. If they don’t then black women will have to comprehend the fact that successful black men are now shifting their focus to white women. Not just for their looks but for their nice, civil character as well. Marrying them and building families with them; thereby drastically diminishing the number of black men available to black women, how sad.

Do I think it is a good trend for Black men to date more of white women than fellow black women? Hmm! As humans we can’t help who you love. In fact this idea or trend of more black men and white women getting together is fine. To each his own.
