**MY HUSBAND IS MY BEST ENEMY**

My name is Mrs Asake Korede, I got married to my beloved husband on the 27th of july 2009. The day was a memorable one because I couldn’t wait to become his wife , and I couldn’t wait for him to express the full version of his love to me. Korede was my first love, I have never found a man like him, he was everything I wanted in a man, so caring, loving, smart, handsome and tall. We met in the university of Jos, we were in the same department and the same level, he was my class governor then, he asked me out during our final paper in 300 level second semester. It took time for me to give him my answer because I was afraid of my parents warning and instructions and I don’t want to break their heart. Although I love him but I did not give him my consent until seven months after he asked me out. We started dating each other and everyday I keep loving him more and more. We graduated from the university and we went for service, we served in the same state, the same local government but different PPA( place of primary assignment). Hmm Korede my love, there is nothing in the world I cannot do for him, because his love has overwhelmed my heart. Three years after we started dating, we got married and my long awaited dream of becoming his wife came to reality. Three years passed, there was no child to call our own, yet my husband was there for me, I have never regretted marrying him, even those times when his families told him to marry another woman because of my childlessness, he refused bluntly and cleaved to me more, I find comfort in his embrace, his sweet words and his gift made me love him the more, a seconds without him is like the end of the world to me, though he lost his job the second year of our marriage and I was the one feeding the family and I was not complaining.

One faithful Saturday, I went to greet my grandfather at surulere, who was a renowned herbalist, as I entered into the house to greet him, though his eyes were dim but he could recognize me by my voice, my grandpa has that special ability to recognize people’s voice even without seeing them, he was so happy to see me because it’s been six years now since we saw each other. The second day I arrived in grandpa’s place, I was cleaning his room, I opened his drawer to clean it, I opened my mouth in bewilderment when I saw my wedding picture in grandpa’s drawer, different questions started running through my mind, how did this picture get here? Because grandpa was not even present at my wedding, how come he has this picture with him?. I went to the living room to ask grandpa about the picture, although he couldn’t see well but he could remember the story that surrounds the picture, he then told me that a man called Korede came to him two months ago to do money rituals and he told him that it is either he uses his daughter or his wife, and since he does not have any daughter they will use his wife and that was how the picture got here, I collapse on the floor and started crying profusely, grandpa asked why I was crying, it was then I told him that the man in question was my husband, grandpa hearing this held his head with his two hands and started thanking his ancestors, I couldn’t control my tears because I love this man with the whole of my life, grandpa told me that the reason why he has not done the ritual was because they will be needing some other materials for the ritual and he is yet to bring those material, I thought to myself so I could have been dead by now, but grandpa told me that we can take revenge by using him for the rituals instead of me.
