No. That's not love.
Hey guys. Of all things I'm famous for, "love doctoring" isn't one of them ( I just wanted to get it out there). The words that follow after now are purely my thoughts and I decided I'd better put them down(before i get off the writing mood... Haha😀😁). Don't take my word for it(hey! I'm only human after all and i am subject to the same natural things as you) but I assure you if you'd read this piece objectively and be unbiased, you won't regret it.
Stop! Before you raise that hand and abuse her body and mind, stop! Why hurt someone whose only intention was to love you the best way she can? It's not love when you make her go through all that.
It's not love when you say things to tear her down rather than build her up. More so, its not love when all you do seems to steal the smile from her eyes. Its not love when you make her feel she's not good enough. And it's certainly not fun when you make her feel like an object incapable of been loved. Nobody is too messed up for love. Cheer her on not hurt her. Respect her not violate her.
If you'll take more than a cursory look, you'll know that it's not love when you become an actual monster and for obvious reasons that's not cool. So what if you're stronger, surely, it'll make more sense to use that same strength and "macho-ness" to hold and defend her.
The prevalence of domestic violence is rather alarming. For goodness sakes, you promised to stand by her and take care of her "through sickness and in health". You vowed to love, cherish and protect her. You can't just get up and leave when things are no longer appealing to you. Come on, you're a lot better than that.
Well, if you're like me and yet to be married, you should know that these things don't just start at once. You're probably right, I shouldn't classify anything. The point is that you become a better partner for that special someone. Love is a journey you consciously embark on, don't jump out of the car simply because you run out of gas or fuel. No. Refuel and go on. It's worth it.Love need not be perfect but it ought to be right. Know and understand what love is and what its not.
