Love and unity

Greetings and blessings in the yard.

Love is the foundation upon which healthy, strong and fulfilling relationships are built. I'm not only talking about man and woman relationships but also community-based and societal relationships. A relationship developed without love is like a condominium built without a foundation. As sure as the building shall fall in the slightest breeze, will the relationship decay and perish.

It's a sad thing what is going on in many parts of the world. In some places, people living together fight against one another, kill one another and have malice towards their neighbors because of jealousy, envy and hatred. This style of life is wasteful; it can't help anyone. A worse thing is the tribal war fuelled by dirty politics. There is nothing in the world that can justify senseless killing, burning and looting all in the name of tribal hate. Lots of precious, innocent lives have been lost in conflicts from time to time, and the earth is fed up with spilled blood. No one likes to die, so it is a wonder why some people take pleasure in killing others, yet they don't want to die themselves.

Aside from that, it is of utmost importance that the art of love should be mastered in human communities in order to ensure peace and unity and harmony. Love, a heartfelt emotional feeling, is the healing of the nations. Once a man or woman loves a next man or woman, he or she will do nothing to harm him or her, but will always strive to do good to them whenever possible, helping one another in time of want, and caring and sharing what one's got in store. This kind of love is rare, but very essential in life. It is only through this kind of love that war can be eradicated, poverty extirpated and equal rights and justice be fostered in the societies of the world. Only love can stop the killing and shooting and mass murder. It does much good also to love one's enemies.

To hate one's neighbors is folly of a kind. A one's neighbours are his immediate help in trouble or difficult times. Loving one's neighbours is as good as loving oneself. Love is the mother of unity, and unity is a good thing. None can deny that. Unity empowers a people. Unity enlightens the ignorant mind. Unity is a powerful ally in the face of a foe. Where there is unity, there is hope for a better future - peace and prosperity without measure.

What thing is there in all of the universe that is better than love?

When all the world love one another, it shall be the dawn of a new era.
