A very romantic Bishop Valentine disregarded the Emperor’s wishes and chose love rather than war. He continued to marry people in secret until he was caught and thrown in jail for treason. He was imprisoned and sentenced to death.
Saint Valentine was later executed on the 14th of February, that is why up till tomorrow people celebrate
St. Valentine’s every year on this date.
