Love is such a simple four letter word. Love is what our lives are based on. We were conceived out of love and born into this world with love. We grow as children by being loved and experience the emotion of love, from a very young age.

Remember, when you were little and you were kissed and cuddled by your parents or grandparents. It made you feel special, protected and nurtured. When you had your first pet, you felt love and happiness as a child and became that pet`s center of attention.

When you first went to school, it was love that calmed your fears of the unknown and allowed you to step away from your parents, knowing that everything would be okay.

Then as you began to grow, you are loved by friends and family members, some of whom will have a big impact on your life. Then as a teenager, you meet your first real boyfriend or girlfriend and know that the feelings you have towards that person is love and that, you felt at the time, that your life would not go on, if they were not in it.

You also discovered the love or passion of things that you enjoyed doing in your life, be it surfing, dancing, singing or being artistic. Through love you grew to become a young adult. You develop skills and become independent, which you love, because it is a sense of freedom to be the person you always wanted to be.

Again, through love of your parents, family and friends, they support you in moving out of home, starting your life and loving all that you accomplish. You may meet the love of your life, your soulmate.

Then you may have children of your own, which were conceived out of love and born from love and you feel that strong and unbreakable bond of love, that you know that you would give up your own life for your child, because of love.

Love is something our whole lives depend on. It is our most intimate and deepest emotion that we feel as a human on this earth. Love has the ability to heal us from the most hurtful and painful things we experience in our lives. Love is what connects us with other people. It connects us with things we are passionate about and keeps us grounded. Most importantly is the ability to love yourself. Loving who you are as a person, allows you to be the best that you can be. Through love, you have a lot to give to yourself and to give to the world in which you live in.
