MY FIRST POEM - DATING INSANITY

Hey friends, today I want to do something off topic.
I have been to a surf camp this summer and had the luck to spend two weeks with very beautiful and mindful people. The staff organized a poem evening which really inspired me to get into writing again. I tried out myself in this field a few times but never finished something.
Now, I finally had the motivation to express my feelings and view on this topic. Thanks to Zac.

Where to begin, this topic is huge, broadly seen,
Everybody's trying to make it in the scene.
Date to date - You hip, you cool,
does not matter if you´ll behave like a fool.
Appearance based approaches,
Where are the feelings, the kindness, the romance?
Physical features over mind connection and
Hookups - Netflix and chill - one night stands
Instead of making remarkable, unforgettable memories.
Where is the friendly, heartwarming smile when your glances meet for the first time,
I want my palms to be sweaty knees weak, arms to be heavy
Instead - They look to their „friend“ and say damn look at that for a night.
Tinder, lovoo or similar shit,
All based on twisting the truth,
making meaningful interaction being removed
People are drifting - drifting away, getting stuck in hypothetical, unethical, non-moral pattern
Media embraces it - to them, it doesn´t matter.
Come on humanity that´s insanity.
I am asking myself - Whats wrong with the world mama? Like Black Eyed Peas said - the whole worlds addicted to the drama, only attracted to the things that bring you trauma. Madness is what you demonstrate and that´s exactly how anger works and operates. Where is the love?
Chill inside, pick up the phone and swipe right
Your grandfather would laugh and say that's not how its done right.
Listen, ​ son - We had to go out - connect - be kind.
No facebook, no instagram no tinder but relationships were tight.
Tight - long lasting - full of compassion, respect and honesty - honestly.
Treating each other with equality, carefully, mindfully.
Dating as a purpose for fame, likes and short term dopamine.
Not because of deep interest, feelings and growth between.
Everybody´s looking for shortcuts, saving time - shortcuts to health wealth and happiness.
Fuck that - gain consciousness.
Some things need patience, commitment and determination.
For creating a long lasting valuable relation - in our generation. ​
