Sending spouse to work daily ... chores?
Hey there!
So, as some of you might have known, i'll be flying off to Taiwan tomorrow, 31st May 2018, for 3 long months!!
Today, will be the last day for me to do just that simple act of love, sending my wife to work...
It may not seem like much, but it means a lot to her.
Having a job with irregular timetable means irregular transportation hours - be it in the wee hours of the night, early in the morning, in the afternoon, evening, or even before the sun arises. Thankfully, I've been able to accommodate to her schedules so far as i'm still "studying" and doing my masters ... hence, the somewhat flexible time..
Things are starting to get a lil touchy, the thought of me being away for 3 months by itself is quite a pain for her, plus, her means of transportation is kindda taken away from her now..
Desperate, she was searching high and low for contacts from her colleagues which provides a good rate for daily transportation but avail to none...
In the end, i told her to just settle for Grab or any of those taxi hailing service for the time being...
Me, on the other hand, felt something i've never felt before..
I felt like the simple act of sending my wife to work, has now been taken away from me...
Yes, i concur that sometimes, i feel like the 'task' of sending my wife to work can be somewhat of a chore... waking up in the middle of the night, having inconsistent sleeping patterns, and not forgetting having to juggle between my own preference of time, work, and sleeping hours..
I felt, somewhat helpless, not being able to be a pillar of support for my wife in this moment of time. But i was encouraged by her, knowing that both of us are going through periods of transitions, and we believe we'll power through this, coming out stronger, better, and lovelier than before.
So, here's my challenge to all of you out there...
BE THANKFUL OF THE OPPORTUNITY YOU HAVE TO SERVE YOUR LOVE ONES
Few more hours, till i'll be able to pick her up from work.... and i'm getting excited about it..
If only, i felt this way, all the time :)
