The Lost City of the Giants

Despite the modern technology currently used in archeology, many of the signs of ancient cities buried in the world are still only indications. In order to unearth these wonders, great efforts are required, and sometimes fortune in favor. Many years ago some articles in the media revealed clues to an underground and colossal construction in the Grand Canyon, which may well have been: The Lost City of the Giants

According to an article published in The Arizona Gazette on April 5, 1909, the Grand Canyon was the home of a civilization that probably, and based on the structures found, consisted of giant individuals.

The article mentions the discovery of a huge underground citadel by an explorer and long-time archaeologist named G. E. Kinkaid of the Smithsonian Institution.

Revelations from the past indicate the existence of an underground City in the Grand Canyon of Colorado (USA). that by its descriptions could well be the abode of a race of giants.

In addition, according to the story of the Gazette by Mr. Kinkaid, the archaeologist of the Smithsonian Institute, who was financing the explorations, made discoveries that almost conclusively show that the race that inhabited this mysterious cavern, excavated in solid rock by human hands , was of Eastern origin or possibly of Egypt going back to Ramses.

If their theories are confirmed in the translation of the tablets engraved with hieroglyphics, the mystery of the prehistoric peoples of North America, their ancient arts, who they were and where they came from, will be resolved.

The entrance to the city was at the end of a tunnel that extended underground for almost 700 meters.

"First, I would point out that the cavern was almost inaccessible," Kinkaid wrote. "The entrance is 50 meters below the steep wall of the canyon. It is located on government lands and no visitor will be allowed to be there under pain of transgression. "

The architecture suggested that the builders of the underground city possess advanced engineering skills.

The central axis of the underground city was a gigantic chamber from which passages radiated like the spokes of a wheel. The walls of the main chamber were adorned with copper swords and tablets covered with hieroglyphic symbols, not unlike those found in Egypt. Another finding that pointed to a link with Egypt were the mummified bodies, by far the most interesting things within the citadel.

Several hundred rooms have been discovered, reached by passageways running from the main passage, one of them having been explored for 854 feet and another 634 feet. The recent finds include articles which have never been known as native to this country, and doubtless they had their origin in the orient. War weapons, copper instruments, sharp-edged and hard as steel, indicate the high state of civilization reached by these strange people. So interested have the scientists become that preparations are being made to equip the camp for extensive studies, and the force will be increased to thirty or forty persons.

No mummy averages less than 3 meters tall and they were all wrapped in dark linen. Kinkaid wrote that he put up one of them and photographed him with the help of a flashlight, but that photo will nowhere be found.

The additional exploration revealed something about the religion of the giant inhabitants of the city:
More than 30 meters from the entrance is the cross-shaped room, several hundred meters long, in which I found the idol or image, of the god of the inhabitants, sitting cross-legged, with a flower of lotus or lily in each hand.

The features of the face is that of an oriental, and so is the carvings of this cavern. The idol almost resembles Buddha, although scientists are not sure as to what religion they represent.

The article records the discovery of ceramics and instruments, all of them with signs of having originated in other parts of the world. Such a mixture of cultures is rarely found in archaeological finds, so this discovery is of unprecedented importance.

The last chamber awaiting exploration was what Kinkaid and his partner, Prof. SA Jordan, believed was a ceremonial crypt. It is located at the end of the great room where all the other mummies had been found

There is a passageway chamber that is not ventilated, and when we approach a deadly snake smell it hits us. Our light did not penetrate the gloom, we could not know what the camera contains.

Some say snakes, but others think it may contain a deadly gas or chemicals used by the ancients.

The tomb or crypt in which the mummies were found is one of the largest chambers, the walls are tilted back at an angle of about 35 degrees.

Connections with other ancient civilizations: Egyptians, India

In this area of the Canyon there were mentions such as the Pyramid of Cheops, the Cloister Buddha, the Temple of the Buddha, the Manu Temple and the Temple of Shiva. Is there any relationship between these places and the supposed Egyptian (or eastern) discoveries in the Grand Canyon?

A state archaeologist in the Grand Canyon, said that the first explorers had Egyptian and Hindu names, but it was true that this area was out of reach of hikers or other visitors, due to the "dangerous caves".

The findings reveal that possibly in the Grand Canyon there were individuals from other civilizations of the ancient world. Hidden history?
