Welcome to the #Healthspan tag
I mentioned in my #introduceyourself post that healthspan is very important to me. But what does it really mean? For a lot of people the word conjures up the image of an old person vigorously tripod-ing from the retirement home to a local park bench.
Nah. That's not it.
Healthspan is about being 100% functional for as long as possible; potentially an unlimited amount of time. It's about having great eyes and ears. A fantastic cardiovascular system, memory, and skin.
It is about behaviors, therapies, science, and research that may keep you at your best; or at least delay your decline.
Lastly, it is about time. More high quality time. Time to do the things you enjoy. Time to explore the world. Time to be with friends and loved ones. Time to do something with a purpose you believe in.
When you see something with the #healthspan tag, take a look. It might add a minute, or a year, to your life.
