Lombard: Medieval Cook Book Recipe
It was my first time cooking from an actual medieval recipe and it was amazing. For the lombard you will need 12 egg yolks, 8 tablespoons of honey, 6 oz of white bread crumbs, and a pinch of black pepper. Mix it, mold it and then chill it. For the sauce you will need 1 cup of red wine, a pinch of ground cinnamon and ginger, and 5 tablespoons of honey. You will be eating dessert like medieval royalty once you dig in to this.
