After the first conversation, we can deduce the birthday is either in July or August. Then, we know it's one of Jul 16, Aug 15, or Aug 17. Last conversation leaves us with the only option Jul 16.

It's apparent that you took the puzzle from somewhere. It'd be nice if you can cite the source. Nice puzzle though. ;)
