Yard Cleanup.
We started in on a cleanup of the backyard today. It's looking to be a two day job with the old siding cleanup pethaps taking longer.
With a small parking lot to our side and a ATM drive through to out rear we get a lot of bank receipts and paper coffee cups blown into the yard over the winter, before our hedge of russian rhubarb grows up to block them out. Even without the garbage, spring has last year's leaves and fallen branches to clean up.
My trusty assistant got bag fulls of plastic, recyclables and garbage....
And enough dry russian rhubarb to have our first fire of the season...

The siding is from one side of the house. It does seem a lot more when piled on the ground though!

It does take a lot more energy than one would expect. No stress on my end though.
Nice!! I don't have a yard, but I'm tidying up my patio, and my little indoor garden as well. I have about 35 little tomato sprouts coming up inside, to go out in about a month. Glad to see spring here in Vancouver :)

I think it's fun to do the first spring clean up. After being cooped up all winter, now getting ready for some beautiful new greenery. And a backyard evening fire is cool too.

Cleaning up the yard, car or house definitely has almost therapeutic qualities to it and feels good checking it off the list at the end of the day of a job well done. The fire looks cozy, and needs some chairs and friends around with marshmallows!
Although the fire that night was a good means to get rid of some of the cleanup, it was still pretty cold. With the warmer weather we have more of the traditional campfires which even imcludes some campfire singing. 😎
