An English novel by Lolita Vladimir Nabokov. The author first wrote the novel in English, Paris in 1955 and New York in 1958. The author then translated it into Russian. The book has received international fame because of its controversial novel. The main element of this novel is the incident of a 12-year-old girl's sexual intercourse with a married middle class man.

Lolita was the most controversial novel in the history of the 20th Century. In 1962 Stanley Kubrick made a film about the book. Another film in 1997 is similar title.
