There are three episodes of the novel- Mosque, Guha and Temple, and the story revolves around four characters: Dr. Aziz, his British friend Siril Fielding, Mrs Moore and Miss Adela Covert. In 1984, David Lin made a film based on the novel, which won two Oscars and numerous awards.
