Litecoin microsoft, steam use

Reading deep in Charlie Lee's twitter page and the Litecoin Reddit page it has been suggested that Microsoft and Steam will start using Litecoin as payment method to replace Bitcoin, which both stopped using because of it's price volitility. Can anyone confirm these rumours or whether Charlie Lee has a connection with Bill Gates?
