Litecoin's Journey to the Moon: Increased by 1,900+% Since January 2017

At the beginning of the year, Litecoin was trading in various digital currency exchanges at around $4+ per piece. After eight months of trading, its market price leaped to around $79+ a piece, a whooping 1,900% increase.

Also, a few days ago, Litecoin reached its all-time high price of $94, passing the $90 mark for the first time on its lifetime. It is currently trading at around $78.90 in Coinbase and is now trying to break the $80+ mark again.

Litecoin's market capitalization also increased by almost 1,600% from $200 million at the beginning of the year to $3.8 billion as of today. Increase in market price and capitalization was attributed to many possible reasons, one of it is being Bitcoin's brother, or the Silver to Bitcoin's Gold. Analysts say that Litecoin's price is fairly paralleled and correlated to Bitcoin's market price movements.

Let's just hope that this increasing momentum still continue in the long run.
