Litecoin has solved many of the scaling issues that Bitcoin is now facing. It is expected that because of its speed and reasonable user fees, that it will replace Bitcoin as the medium of daily commerce. The Chinese in particular love it, because it brings the world markets to remote communities where there are currently no banks.
