Listening to Understand

You listen intentionally with interest to a person when you truly care for them and are interested in them. You value their opinions and listen to them because you honestly truly care for them and want to invest time and understanding in the story of them.

This is a form of showing and being Love. To actually listen to a person speak their truth and you do not judge. You are giving that person the most powerful gift you can give anyone and that is your ATTENTION. We have downplayed the power of attention so bad that we don't realize that when you give anyone or anything your attention you are giving them or it, Life.

Let us start listening more without the intention to reply but the goal to understand. People start healing once they feel like they can actually be heard.
