you own LISK? Vote for delegates and earn more! It's simple - how-to!
EARN LISK BY VOTING FOR DELEGATES
A HOW-TO GUIDE FOR BEGINNERS
Hey guys, this guide addresses all LISK owners who let their LISK coins get dusty at exchanges or wallets. Why not vote for delegates and thereby increase your assets? It's really simple and a matter of minutes. Just follow these 3 steps!
1.) Transfer your LISK coins to wallet
If you have stored (or just buyed) your LISK amount at an crypto exchange, transfer it to your LISK wallet. You can either download the official LISK offline wallet at https://lisk.io or create a new online wallet account at https://login.lisk.io
2.) Select your LISK delegate(s)
Login to your wallet and click at "Delegates" (left side). Now you can see the list of 101 delegates ('pools') which are able to forge ('mining') LISK. But DO NOT select the first that comes along blindly! Not every delegate who's forging also disburse his LISK! Also consider the percentage of pool's outpayments - between 5% and 100% everything is possible! Don't worry in this regard: you can find a very helpful LISK pool overview at http://tools.mylisk.com/calculator.php
You should also keep an eye on the second list below the upper delegate list. This list contains all delegate 'candidates' which ranking at place #102 and behind. These one can't forge right now, but a few good 50-90% pools are on 'standby' there and may be considered with an upvote. As soon as they reach rank #101 or better, they'll also start forging.
3.) Voting for your delegate(s)
After you've selected your delegates, click '√ Vote' at the top right side of your wallet. Note that you'll be charged with 1 LISK for every vote-'session'. But in return this fee allows you to vote for up to 33 delegates simultaneously - it doesn't rise if you select more than one delegate.
To complete, confirm your vote(s) as shown at the picture below - thats all, you start earning LISK from now on!
It can take up to an hour until your LISK address appears at your LISK pool(s), but thereafter you can enjoy your daily earnings at the pool(s) statistik pages. Best thing is, you'll keep earning LISK 24x7 while your PC is off and you are asleep! $-:o) Most pools disburse immediately after your assets have reached their payout threshold, which is usually between 1 and 10 LISK - apart from current #1 "thepool". This one pays out at too low amount: at 0.2 LISK. Thats a big disadvantage for smaller LISK owners because at every payout 0.1 LISK fee will be deducted. Keep this in mind.
Recommended LISK pools - my current top-5
1.) RobinHood (100% payout) → http://robinhood.liberspirita.net
2.) LskPool (80% payout) → https://lskpool.lisk-ua.net
3.) LiskPool.top (90% payout) → https://liskpool.top
4.) LiskPool.com (75% payout) → http://www.liskpool.com
5.) Communitypool (80% payout) → https://forum.lisk.io/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=1268&p=9802#p9802
Thank you for your attention and 'sorry' for my rookie English.
Every voter of this article will get his re-vote.
Thank you for this information. It was exactly what I looked for.
Your title, is a little inappropriate, voting for delegates, don't make you a forger, but a beneficiary of forging made by the delegate, forging, can only be done by a delegate, that run a node on the network, has requested to become a delegate, and has reached an approval (voting, from lisk owners) to a level that he entered the 101 rank. Better if you change the title from "lisk forging" to "lisk voting".
You're right, thanks for the hint. I´ve replaced it. :)
:)
Hi @cryptomcat thank you for this post, super helpful! I made 33 votes 2 days ago and have seen 0 payout so far. Is it working? How long until I receive a payout?
hey, sorry for my late answer, I´m not here too often. This is depending on how many Lisk you own, and how high the payout threshold of the pool is. Most pools paying you after reaching 1 Lisk, others at 5 or 10 Lisk. Just go to http://www.liskpending.com/ and enter your Lisk address there, then you'll see your actual pending Lisk amount of each pool.

Thank you for this article. I was actually confused as to how the delegation process worked. During my research I have always seen RobinHood pool. I think they are legitimate. Cudos.
Nice article. My lisk was just collecting dust in wallet. Nice to know I can accumulate more by voting. I will definitely have to rethink if I want to buy more and hold.
Is there a fee to vote? It charged me 1 lisk to vote for someone!
1 lisk for 33 votes
1 lisk for 33 votes with a maximum of 101
I open the link but don't find any information on pools. Is this proccess over?
here is an alternative page, if the page linked at article is down: https://dpostools.com/LISK/
This Lisk voting thing is very confusing. I've read a couple different pieces about it, and still don't understand it at all. I only own a few Lisk ...is it even worth bothering with, with all the fees involved?
I can't tell you an exactly amount of Lisk, but I guess below ~750 Lisk it isn't really profitable, especially with these many churlish pools which sharing only 5-25%...
