→ Free Bitcoin for Reading Email

in #link6 years ago (edited)

I've been using this site for a few months and it really does work. They send you emails now and then and pay $1 in BTC and up for reading them and sometimes doing something like joining a chat or following someone on Twitter or something. Easy stuff.

You won't get rich doing this. In the few months I have been a member of the site, I've made about $30 in BTC. So this isn't going to be a major source of income for you, but hey... that's $30 I didn't have before.

They also have a service where you can give them access to your gmail account and they will bounce back any mail from anyone not on a whitelist, asking for Bitcoin in order to be read. An interesting idea, but I haven't done it due to not wanting to give access to my gmail account.

My photography mentor used to tell me "It takes a lot of peanuts to feed an elephant", meaning that we should make as many income sources as we can and that all added together they might give us a decent salary. This site is a small peanut to be sure, but it still is one.

(FYI, that is a referral link. If you want to sign up but don't want to give me credit, feel free to use this one instead)

Link Blog

Back when I had my own website, I used to post a few random links everyday or every few days, in the style of http://kottke.org or http://daringfireball.net. Readers seemed to enjoy seeing them.

To signify a link post, I'll put an arrow (→) at the beginning of the title to show you guys it is a link post and that you can skip it if such things don't interest you.

I signed up for that a couple weeks ago. So far I've only got one task which involved an airdrop of Zcoin, which was kind of interesting; it had me set up a wallet and join their Telegram group, as well as other things I might be forgetting.

I also signed up to be on their contact lists under various things I'm experienced in. Unfortunately, no contacts on that frunt so far. I'm betting that part of the system isn't very much used.

Just FYI, it's considered good practice to clearly disclose referral links.

Is it? My mistake. I suppose I'm used to the photo and tech worlds, where people pack their posts with referral links with no mention of it. It's just kind of assumed that happens. But ok, I shall edit the post to reflect that. Thanks for the tip.

Yeah I am a member of several of the lists, but I think at this point they are trying to charge too much and earn.com is still too small. If this idea keep growing, tho, they might start to be used. As for now it is mainly just ICO offerings every now and then at about a buck each.
