my baby is 6 months! whattt?! where did the time go?!

My little baby girl turned 6 months old on August 24th, 2019 and the last "update" I did for ya'll was at 4 months. a LOT has changed since then.

I NOW KNOW WHY PEOPLE SAY "STOP GROWING"

she is growing and growing and growing so fast in front of our eyes. We are so proud of her every single day, the amount of exploration and creativeness she has is beyond amazing! She is such a little explorer and finds absolutely EVERYTHING interesting and wants to touch it, feel it, see it, and most importantly … EAT it. yep! everything goes into her mouth.

Aug. long weekend was pretty much the 1st time she started actually crawling, but before that... she was standing, with our help of course. She now moters on all day long and it does get very exhausting and I now have to "baby proof" our home! Aug. long was also the weekend we did our 1st family road trip to Edmonton, she did lovely in the car for 16 hours one way and mostly slept the entire way haha. While in Edmonton, we attended a wedding, whilst at the wedding we had her outside, walking with her in the grass and letting her crawl around and someone who had a 5 month old walked by asking how old she was, I told her almost 6 months and she was AMAZED at the development and progress baby Heidi has... proud mom moment NOT GUNNA LIE it felt good to have that kind of attention towards her and us as parents.

I have started giving her real food as early as 4 months, but it wasn't much … I am starting to do this more and more and so far I think she really enjoys carrots! of course im experimenting with just pureed veggies and mostly rice cereal, but it seems to be going quite well. The amount of toys she has, is … lots … and she likes them for like 5 seconds at a time, she is much more interested in things she CANT have. Such as: pop cans, BEER cans, my jewelry, and objects that are long like forks, spoons, pencils, pens. Give her a piece of Tupperware, she is golden for like 30 min! I recently invested in a Jolly Jumper, although, I am clueless on how to actually put her in it, its like a 2 person job, and personally, I don't think she is the happiest in it anyways. I think she doesn't like "being in things" and would much rather have the freedom to go wherever her little lets take her, which often results in bonking her head 2 times a day and crying in frustration. Speaking of 2 person jobs... I have to change her on the floor now, diaper and clothing because she is such a rolly polly olly that im afraid of her rolling off the change table, my partner sometimes just has to hold her down so I can put her in insta cute outfits! HEHEE

we have a cat, she legit has a spazz attack every time she sees her! unfortunately, Meow Meow isn't the fondest of her, she is a very docile cat in my eyes, but she doesn't like things like her paws touched, her belly touched and those seem to be the 1st things Heidi goes towards, and were trying our best to teach her "gentle" because right now its just PULL ALL THE HAIR AND PUT IN MY MOUTH! haha!

all in all, for me, this past 6 months have been a whirlwind of emotions, good and bad, and it's sad to see her grow up so fast. But with that being said, we are so amazed with her every day, so excited for her to learn new things, so excited to teach her right from wrong and up from down. It's sad to have to put her clothing away as she grows out of them, but exciting to give her new clothes to wear and the photo opportunities are endless! Can't wait for her 1st words and I cant wait to document everything here with all you or just for myself. I hope you enjoyed my little update, and my next update I will do at 1 year! :) cannot wait!
