THE RIGHT FOR FREEDOM AND VOLUNTARY SLAVERY

A parable of the thin line between freedom and slavery, the voluntary slavery in which we all participate. And which sounds more than current today.
Look, "Pharaoh said one day to his priests," these long rods of slaves carrying stones. We have always believed that the more slaves we have, the better for us. But they actually cost us a lot, and they do not work enough. They are guarded by a huge number of soldiers, but the more slaves we have, the greater the risk of riots, and the more we need to step up the guards. We also have to feed them well to be able to do this hard work. See how slow they move and the guards do nothing to make them work faster ... But anyway, they are lazy and disobedient ... We have to change something.
Here's what. Let the hearers send a pharaoh's decree tomorrow before sunrise tomorrow, which reads: "From now on, all slaves are given complete liberty. Take your chains, and for every stone you bring, you will receive ONE coin. Coins can be exchanged for food, clothes, dwellings and even palaces. From now on all of you are absolutely free people! "
The next day the Pharaoh and the priests gathered again to see what was happening in the valley, where the slaves wore the stones before. What had happened before their eyes struck them. Thousands of people struggled to wear stones, sweat was poured out of them, and some wore two stones at a time. Some of the former slaves of the former slaves also wore stones. Everyone tried to get as much as possible to get their dreams and build their new, free and happy life.
A few months passed, and Pharaoh continued with curiosity and interest in observing what was happening to his subjects.
And the changes were colossal. Some of the former slaves joined in small groups and invented technical devices to carry more stones, people who appeared to do various services and brought food and water.
"Surely they will come up with more gadgets ..." the pharaoh thought. "Soon they will choose a chief, maybe they will organize a court ... Well, let them choose. They now carry a lot more stones, they are considered free, but nothing has changed in essence - as before, they carry stones ...
