There is the saying that goes thus " train up a child in the way he should go,so when he grows up he'll not depart from it "....over the years our parents have devised various means of correcting the children among which are kneeling down, flogging, etc. And in cases where they have to correct or reprove immediately they make use of any available material to beat or throw at the child... However this treatment sometimes could be categorized as Child Abuse in a form.

When correcting or punishing a child, liniency should be employed so as not to beat the child extensively or abuse the child.
