Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar – Latin America Edition at South Beach

Watch this review of the 41mm Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar (Latin America) edition as I ride throughout the hot streets of South Beach!

From my prior watch videos, you know I'm a big fan of AP watches, especially of the Royal Oak models.

The original perpetual calendar was the 39mm version. I was never crazy about the size, but this new 41-millimeter version is a piece that I'm pretty crazy about.

The first thing that caught my attention was the detail on the lunar phase. It almost looks like there's glitter in the watch! I also love the layout of dials. The addition of the blue sub-dials completely improved the look of the watch. The 5134 movement is equipped with pretty much everything you'll ever want on a perpetual calendar model (including the day, date, lunar moon phase and the 52-week indicator).

Another cool thing about this Royal Oak from AP is the box. It's a metallic gold box that also has a watch winder inside. A great touch by Audemars Piguet!

The standard AP perpetual rose gold has a retail price of about $95,000. The special edition that I'm reviewing goes for around $105,000 in the market, about $10,000 over retail at the present time.

Even though I really love this watch, the only thing I'm not so crazy about are all the little pushers on the side (why I'm I always nitpicking?! LOL).

Nevertheless, as far as the Watch Game goes, the AP RO Perpetual Calendar Latin America Edition is a true heavy hitter! The fact that it brings a blue alligator strap with the deployant clasp and adapters (probably worth about $6k if purchased separately) is also a great plus.
