Tips for Success of the Virgin Air Boss in 2019
If you haven't completed the previous year's resolution, billionaire Richard Branson has a simple recommendation for you. The founder of Virgin Group recommends going out and trying something new.
Branson stressed in a post on the blog last Tuesday that nothing good in his life had happened than staying in a comfort zone.
This New Year, new slate, opportunity to change it, "Branson wrote.
So what are these, here are four Branson tips to get out of your comfort zone to pursue resolutions in 2019.
Brave.
Whether it's learning new skills, starting a business, or meeting new people, don't let fear keep you from the experience of potentially rewarding. Distribute your fear to collaborate and work with others.
Branson said his willingness to try new things helped him become a forward-thinking leader.
"I have never really had the desire to be comfortable and it really helped me in business. Innovation does not come from comfort and do what other people do."
Start from small thing.
Experiment, Branson said. Explore in a way that doesn't require a large investment of time or money. You might read a book you don't usually check from the library, try new recipes or take a walk in a place you've never visited before.
These first steps can help you explore in your routine and embrace constant learning which is the key to growth.
Write down your new adventure
When you try new things, consider making a journal or even a simple list. When you try something new, write it down, said Branson.
When you bring it to your notebook, Branson says to ask yourself what do you enjoy about the new experience? What do you hate Meditate on your adventure and wake up.
Branson is a person who strongly believes in making notes and connects his success with his willingness to write down ideas and goals.
"I can't tell you where I will be if I don't have a pen in hand to write down my ideas (or more importantly, others) as soon as they come to me," he wrote in a blog post last year.
Persistent.
Even though you may feel discouraged to try something unknown, Branson says you should keep trying.
"Do not immediately give up on something because there are rarely people who are good at doing something when they first try it," Branson wrote.
He also remembers struggling to learn to surf with his son, Sam. Even though it's physically very tiring to swim to the big waves just to fall over and over again, Branson says that feelings of achievement are very valuable and feel ridiculous when you study.
"If you can go through this stage of doubt and make it out the other side. I promise you, this is where good things happen," Branson wrote.
