5 Reasons to travel to Naples
Naples, owner of one of the most extensive and rich heritage of the beautiful boot. The essential aspect of this post, but to discover your soul you will have to look into the eyes of this unique city.
Naples breathes the Mediterranean, the old stories of sailors, the Greek, Roman, Norman, Spanish heritage ... The historical and artistic heritage of Naples is absolutely exciting. Not in vain, his historical case, the most extensive in Europe, full of churches and palaces, is a World Heritage Site. Although the unfortunate state of many of its buildings and the dirt made me wonder many times, how is it possible that Unesco allows it to be so, with how demanding they usually are. Perhaps the graffiti, disorder and chaos are also part of the charm of this heritage.
Here I bring you 5 reasons for you to decide to travel to Naples, a city with its own personality in the South of Italy:
1.The gastronomy
If there is a capital word in Neapolitan gastronomy it is "Pizza". In Naples they boast of being the inventors of pizza and there are several establishments with a historical background. But in Naples we can also enjoy many other delights of which I will speak at the time in a separate article. Some delicious pastas, with their own recipes, lots of fresh fish and seafood, an incredible pastry offer ... Do not go to Naples if you are on a diet. Or better, go and skip it.
- Their peoples
People friendly, passionate, a bit too shrill ... People who live life, who enjoy the street ... Neapolitans are known for their 'arte di arrangiarsi', something like the art of taking something out of nothing, of finding a solution for everything. It is a true mental state among the Neapolitans, a talent to be happy. And that is perceived continuously.
3.Your Historic Center
Getting lost in its historic center is a real pleasure. The preconceived images we can have of this city will be found here. Clothes hanging on the windows, ladies and gentlemen shouting (although not all, not exaggerating), a street environment full of an absolutely contagious life, small stores, scooters up and down at full speed, small dented cars (we did not see one in all the city without a blow) parked in any way, street music ... You will never want to stop walking around the nerve center of Naples with Spaccanapoli (which split the historic center in two) and Via dei Tribunali as the most emblematic places. And do not be afraid to lose yourself in the hidden streets, they are full of the most picturesque scenes.

- The Toledo Road
At the end of the historic center we find the elegant via Toledo, the commercial center of the city, full of shops and some spectacular buildings. Towards the end of the street, it is necessary to get lost in the Spanish neighborhoods that run between side streets with shops and trattorias in the purest Neapolitan style. Also on this street is the Umberto I Gallery, currently under restoration, and which deserves to be dedicated to a short walk.

5.Their places and their intense life
The squares of Naples are full of life. People walking, taking the aperitif ... It's a pleasure to emulate them and enjoy these public spaces so alive.
The majestic square of the Pleibiscito, just at the end of the Via Toledo, one of the largest in Naples and close to the sea. It houses the Royal Palace and the San Carlos Theater. This is where we welcomed 2017 among thousands of humans, live music and millions of firecrackers and fireworks.
