Breathing

in #life7 years ago

In case you didn't already know, people need oxygen.

I know., groundbreaking. The type of oxygen I'm talking about right now isn't physical though, its figurative.
Its spiritual, and emotional.
Life has a way of building up and getting so hectic, that the only thing you want to do is nothing. You don't know where to start, or what to do. Being stuck in the situations you're surrounded with for so long produces a roadblock of the mind. Even if you are doing something you normally love, you just want out. The lines in your mind become blurred and your once so clear vision and motives become lost in the cesspool that is loss of figurative oxygen.

Rest when you're weary.
Refresh and renew yourself, your body, your mind, your spirit.
Then get back to work.

Humans require rest. Not always is this physical rest, but step one to obtaining mental clarity is to realize you aren't a Captain America.

One of the best ways for me to refresh is to read my Bible.

Meditation and prayer quench your soul and refresh your spirit, enabling you to receive a revitalizing message that reignites your passion for Christ. Consistency is key, and sadly this important part of what should be our daily lives is set on the backburner so often.

I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread also which I will give for the life of the world is My flesh.
-John 6:51

Marvel at every beautiful thing around you.

We get used to things that we see every day, and forget just how wonderful they are.
It could be your spouse
Look at them.
Truly, just look.
Admire the beauty of a human being that you fell in love with and love. The way they talk, walk, care for you,. Their little quirks, the way they smile or laugh, whatever it is, just stop to admire their beauty, both physical and non, and remind yourself they are.
It could be a tree or another plant
How complex a plant is. Think about that for a moment. The intense beauty of the very fact that plants give non-figurative oxygen and in turn eat our carbon dioxide.
Find beauty in everything. Because there is beauty in everything.
Refresh yourself, and get back on track with your goals and visions clear in your minds eye.

Thanks for reading a five minute though drop :)
Cheers!

Thank for the encouragement! I just made a post on how we all need recess. Somehow we think it's not very mature to need a break, but without it, we can't enjoy what is before us. Even God rested from his work.

Thanks for your good posts, I followed you! +upvote
