Dobri Dimitrov Dobrev , known as Santa Dobri and called by some saint of Baylovo , is a Bulgarian donor for the restoration and maintenance of many Bulgarian Christian temples . He is considered by many to be an outstanding spiritual example in Bulgarian society.
Born July 20, 1914 in the village of Baylovo.
Over the years grandfather Dobri is separated from the material aspects of life and devotes himself entirely to the spiritual. It is this new direction in life and the example that it gives later with its generosity and asceticism that many call it the "Saints of Baylovo"
About 2000 decided to donate all his properties to the church. She lives very modestly, in a small annex to the church "St. St. Cyril and Methodius "in his native village. One of his daughters cares for him. Somewhere from that time, his mission to collect funds for the restoration of Christian churches and temples all over Bulgaria.
Almost every day, Dobri Dobrev walks on foot or by bus to Sofia and in front of the doors of the St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral or St. Sedmochislenitsi Church gathers in a plastic cup of money, which then donates to a penny.
Grandfather Dobri is an ascetic, and as such, he denies everything material in life. He lives in extreme poverty because all the money he collects devotes himself to donations to Bulgarian Orthodox temples. Part of their food is delivered by the generosity of citizens who are touched by his selfless soul. Although extremely poor, Grand Dobri lives humbly and kindly, and despite his advanced age, he is actively involved in the restoration of churches and temples.

In 2005 he donated BGN 10,000 to the church "St. Cyril and Methodius "in the village of Baylovo

In 2007 he donated 25,000 leva for the restoration of the Eleshnitsa monastery and the church of the village of Gorno Kamartsi

In 2008 he donated funds for the renovation of the church in Kalofer

In 2009 he donated BGN 35,700 to the Patriarchal Cathedral "St. Alexander Nevsky "- the largest private donation in the 100-year history of the temple

Grand Dobri is one of the largest private donors of Bulgarian Orthodox temples. Although he lives extremely poorly, he has donated more than 80,000 leva in his life, collected from personal funds and from funds provided by generous people.

He died after a brief illness on February 13, 2018 at about 3 pm in Kremikovtsi Monastery, where he stayed in his last years. He was buried on February 15, 2018 in the courtyard of the church "St. St. Cyril and Methodius ", right next to the building where he lives at the end of his life.
