RE: "No-poo" Madness

in #life6 years ago

I have read about this but was under the impression that folks would sometimes rinse with vinegar (though I am not remembering why). Do you do anything like "dry shampoos" (which might be useful for the consistently oily type of person).

I have considered going that direction of not using product anymore. I might just keep my hair in braids. :-) Thanks for the inspiration @eonwarped!

I have heard that before too and I'm not sure. Someone I talked to said not to do it (vinegar) but I don't remember why. And recommended some natural conditioners but I also don't remember or use that.

This makes sense now. If you use baking soda to "wash" your hair then the vinegar is the rinse that also is supposed to condition. I thought they went together!!

I wash my hair maybe once a week but I get a slightly itchy scalp after about 5 days. Did you notice any issues initially?

Yeah initially it definitely felt pretty oily and itchy. Now still slightly but still ok. Oh interesting about the combination... I don't think I'm going to try that though :) . Sounds like if you anyway do once a week it might be easier to adjust? Not sure.
