I am sick.

I am sick and tired of being treated like a conquest a man can claim, or a challenge a man can win.

I am sick and tired of men treating me like an object that has solely been invented for their entertainment.

Just because I’m single doesn’t mean I’m fair game;

Just because I am single doesn’t mean I am desperate enough to give in to the flirtations / sexual advances of married men.

There is not a dimension or a parallel universe or any time nor place where I will be a home wrecker.

I am not just a v*gina walking with two legs.

I am not someone you talk to because you needed a laugh or someone you invite over to try your tricks on — expecting, hoping I would put out.

I was not put in this world to smile for you, or to make you feel good about yourself.

I am a person.

With feelings, with a sense of self worth.

I am someone loved, and respected, and deeply cared for by family, by friends.

I may not have a boyfriend but that doesn’t mean I will jump into bed with the first person who shows interest in me;

I may not have a man in my life right now but that does not give you the right to think that I will be easy;

to think so lowly of me and to try and assault me, and make me squirm with discomfort.

I am sick. And utterly insulted. And completely disappointed. And feeling hopeless.

Luckily, I am also strong, and resilient, and not afraid to call you out on your rude, disgusting behavior.

I am a woman.

I am someone who’s had enough.
