How Educational development has helped in our society

Education is the acquition of knowledge skills, value etc. It is the training of the mind, body and brain for betterment of the society. Education is a change agent. The recipient help to effect change in the society, the culture of the society that are good are retained while others are changed an replaced or modernized for example the killing of twins, Abinos, human sacrifices etc.Education is divided into two, the formal or western and informal or traditional education.

The words is very simple and the teacher may not have gone through the four walls of school. The trainees may not take any prescribed examination or test. The home is the first teacher, where the elders in the surrounding teach, in specific trade such as hunting, carving,Basket weaving etc they undertake training through expert in the area while they serve as apprentice. In most cases learner always take up occupation of their parents because of the limitation of this form of education.

   Today,  we have pre -primary, primary, secondary and tertiary levels of education in good,  situation. Generally we have the problem of infrastructural decay,  collapsing roofs, lack of seals, pupils learning under tress,  poor remuneration for teachers resisting posting to rural areas,  poor funding amount others. It didn't turn that some government in the past have tried to address the problems by introducing free education, qualitative education with books prineted and distributed and very many schoywere built. My question is this? Had education grown in our society, it is generally agreed that the standard of education is falling,for example most graduate cannot read and write  well,  High failure rate in exams leading to miracle centre,sale and buying of admiyinto university also engineers are not able to loose their cartyre let alone service engine, doctor not able to perform simple operation, pharmacist not able to manufacture drug etc. If these are true,  education thas not really develpod in our society.

A good educational platform can change the for better ,however whether education is formed or non- formal, the main purpose of education had always been a produce individuals who will be useful membeyof their societies, so also there are different education system.
CHALLENGE FACING EDUCATION IN OUR SOCIETY
An investment in knowledge pays the best interest. The important of education to a nation can not be over emphasized, in most parts of the world education is regarded as a fundamental human right. There are some problem facing education :

1 poor funding
2 Unavailabilty of qualified teachers
3.lack of continuous training for teachers
4.academic fraud corruption and indiscilpline
The government need to put more effort in the problem facing educational development .
