RE: Times When I felt my Doctor Wasn't Listening to me.
It's interesting to see the different experiences. I have IBS myself and was recently having bladder issues until I realized it was my IUD causing it and the issues are gone now that it's out. Not sure if that's the method of bc you are using but most of them do mess with our bodies. Stress even more so though! I kind of wish the doctors would have told me that way back when I was in and out of the hospital trying to figure out what was wrong with me. IBS among others are basically a diagnosis for "we don't actually know". I like how you point out that we know our bodies best. Our minds are also very powerful tools connected with our gut. I've even protected myself against colds by believing I wouldn't get them/ that I am healthy. Sorry to hear you had to deal with some asinine doctors, super rude to just make assumptions and not give you the benefit of doubt. I hope you find a better one who treats you with the respect you deserve!
I have always been too scared to try an IUD because I have heard a lot of stories about them not going so well. I use the pill. It's been super effective and I am pretty good about taking it the same time everyday. Only problem is being a little more emotional and a little weight gain for me. Thanks for sharing
