Lady Carrot: A Perspective On Obstacles

I pulled out an interesting specimen of carrots the other day, full of character and humor. Amidst that humor, logic also plays a role when analyzing how this shape came to be ehem... crossing her legs. Depending on soil texture and content, some rooted vegetables or tubers will change direction when they hit a rock or other hard object in the earth below and simply go around. You may choose to look at it any way you like; one lesson I found interesting is the parallel with life. When we seek depth - be it in our careers, spiritually, physically or in relationships, we may encounter rocks or other debris in our way. Where we choose to go next is entirely up to us. We may choose to persevere and make a break through or stagnate and come up short. We may choose to shift direction and find that what we were initially looking for led us on an interesting journey that landed us in a different place. We may get tangled up or entwined with something or someone that either stifles us or promotes growth. And don't even get me started on the topic of water, soil acidity or ph balance, temperature and so on and so forth and the sweetness or bitterness of the carrot! So much to be gathered from a simple carrot in nature. Yum!
