acknowledge your mistakes
This too sounds strange, but the person who is willing to admit mistakes and imperfections is more likely to inspire confidence than one who never acknowledges being wrong to having weaknesses. The three most difficult words for some people to say are "I don't know". Who do you trust more, the person who always has an answer, or the one who acknowledges the limits of his or her experience and training?
