Play the game "From A to Z"
Another way to return to the present moment is to play with yourself in this game. The task is to name objects that begin with all the letters of the alphabet. For example, my dishes after dinner, find such words from the number of utensils and everything that is in the kitchen:
A - orange
B - bank
B - fork
You can ask any topic if you feel that it's too easy. For example: "Things I'll take to Mars when I fly there."
Scan the body
Your thoughts can travel in time continuously, but the body is always firmly in the present. Use it to your advantage. When you need to return to the present, perform a mental scan of your body. Start with your head and scan down:
Are your eyes tired? Close them for a couple of minutes.
Does the neck ache? Do the exercise.
Is the back hurting? Walk around.
Stop on each part of the body for a few minutes and note what you feel.
Inhale the fragrance
Your feelings can help get your attention back to the present. Keep the source of the smell that you like nearby, and once every hour pay attention to it and enjoy the scent.
Sweet Meditation
Take a candy, chocolate or other sweetness that you like. Put a piece in your mouth. Do not bite it. Just let it lie on your tongue for a minute, allowing the taste to form. Concentrate all your attention on taste.
