Gain Your Own Respect.
To achieve something greater than oneself you must first allow yourself to be looked up to. You must be confident enough to believe that others must admire you. You must have self-confidence enough to create the illusion of admiration. This is why it is so important to listen to what people have to say and stop pursuing the person who has it easier than you. To do this you need to understand that it is always about you. Why? Because you are the only one who can create your reputation.
And when you admire yourself, you will be able to be yourself even in situations where others might be uncomfortable with your body, the way you wear your hair, the color of your skin, your clothing, your facial features. You will be free to express yourself freely, simply and without anxiety and frustration.
You will find that you are more confident in yourself and capable of saying "no" to people and things that seem to hurt you. This type of confidence is called abundance mentality and is the driving force behind our happiest and most successful times. In fact, I try my best to practice being humble and trying to maintain a positive perspective in social situations to ensure I am recognized by others for who I am and I can maintain respect for myself and my image in the real world.
Many people become so wrapped up in their relationship with themselves, that they give too much importance to what others think of them. Their self-worth is so wrapped up in it that they lose sight of the positive changes that they can make in their own lives. They constantly focus on what others think of them, rather than seeing how they can do something to change their lives.
People you're attracted to have at least some things in common with you. That's a given, no matter what. However, someone like you will want to know if you are genuine, trustworthy, reliable and hardworking. They need to feel that you can do whatever it is they ask of you. If not, they will walk away. That's why it's so important for you to pick a career path where you can exercise your interpersonal skills. People look to others for the same thing that attracts them to you.
If you don't first get a little arrogant in life and admire yourself — you won't succeed, you won't get what you want and you won't be loved. Not only does such an attitude translate into more success and success in business, but it makes relationships better. As you get to know yourself, your accomplishments and your friends — you develop a trust that will last with people and will lead in better relations.
You need to admit and replace with another action or attitude that works for you. Failure is your biggest inspiration. I'm lucky enough to have learned from many failures in my career and in life. When I failed I was still able to take good action to keep moving and inspiring myself.
Excelent piece of thoughts you've got there.
I must confess that going through this has changed my perception about life, cause at first I had being of the believe of the long aged adage that you earn respect. Today, I'm glad to know that it could be gained as well. Beautiful exposition.
