Thanks for bringing up this topic and I like the conclusion you came up with. Being a woman myself I don't want to expect this from a man and perceive it as a measure of "gentlemanliness" and how caring my partner is. I just see the whole concept of seeing females as weak creatures has nothing to do with caring for them but with an excuse to not let them do what men are able to do without any further questions. That's another whole topic :) Your post triggered to think of several topics I definitely want to write about
