Hobbit House Spa Retreat | Vibrant Yogini
Last weekend 8 of us girls stayed at a hobbit house in the middle of the countryside near Glastonbury from Thursday-Sunday for my friends hen party.
It had it's own entertainment room, a hot tub and a beautiful garden. There were no other houses around and the sun shone all weekend! We spent so much time in the hot tub drinking pimms and prosecco and cooking BBQ's! My British friends and I absolutely love these drinks! They are our favourite choice - so good to not have any men around with their beer cans ;) We also had and love a good espresso martini, gin and tonic and it wouldn't be right if we were in Somerset and didn't drink a local cider! It was such a lovely and fun weekend. A 15 minutes walk down the country lane from our hobbit house was a beautiful private spa, which we had exclusive access to between 9am-11am on the first two mornings, and then 11am-1pm on the final day after our big night out in Bath. Everyday I used the sauna for 15 minutes twice, swam for half an hour, sat in the outdoor hot tub and relaxed! I also had a one hour deep tissue massage, which was amazing. Although because I booked it for 11am on the second day after the spa access, it meant I had to miss the start of the Royal Wedding, which we had put on in the entertainment room while drinking Pimms! But I made it in time to watch Prince Harry and Princess Megan get married. So adorable, I do love a romantic story! On the Friday we had a lovely long walk into Glastonbury to a view point. Our weekend had been quite civilised, healthy-ish (apart from the copious amounts of prosecco and cocktails!) and I was loving being in the middle of beautiful countryside, a home from home! The only difference was that it was very flat where we were, where-as the countryside where I live has lots of hills! Anyway, on the Saturday afternoon, we had arranged to all get ready for our night out in Bath, and we setup the BBQ food. Then our surprise butler in buff came! We didn't want to get a stripper or do the usual tacky hen party stuff, but we did think we had to do something cliche so decided a butler in buff would be a funny idea. He came and cooked the BBQ for us and topped up our drinks. He was in great shape (obviously) so I did speak to him a lot about fitness and health, much to my friends amusement. But he seemed a really nice person. I especially loved the fact he was a family man and so was doing this on the side of his body building company to earn extra cash for his daughter's future and for his girlfriend. We then got a taxi into Bath, which was a 45 minute ride. We had a great night out dancing lots (I personally don't see the point in going out unless you go dancing!!). All in all, it was such a wonderful little healthy and girly break! Unlike all the men of the wedding party who flew over to Vegas!!! Wishing you a beautiful day full of happiness and good vibes, Namaste! P.S. “The most important thing is to enjoy your life - to be happy - it's all that matters." ~ Audrey Hepburn
That house is so cute! I used to live in NZ and there's an actual Hobbiton there where they made the LOTR and Hobbit movies <3
Wow i would love to go to New Zealand one day! It sounds incredible :)
NZ is absolutely breathtaking =)
I will go one day! Where do you recommend the most? For a nature lover?! (I suppose everywhere right?!) I can't wait to go one day!!!!
Hahaha yes it's so difficult to choose. There's the Waitomo Caves on the North Island (pretty close to Auckland), where you get to see glow worms or do black water rafting in the caves. There's also Cape Reinga - the tip of the North Island - you get to see 2 oceans meet. But the South Island is where the really spectacular scenery be at. Let me know if you visit NZ, if I'm in town I'll be happy to show you around! <3
