Very nice post. Very deep. I think he's right. But this is my take. We become more cynical and wary with the world the older we get because we understand how the world works more and more; we find out who our true rulers are. We come to grips with the TRUTH. This is why I think we become pessimistic and negative as we age. To blissfully go through the world pretending what's happening isn't happening is ignorance.
